                   AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE A RIGHT-OF-WAY NAME OF
                   A PORTION OF OLD HIXSON PIKE LOCATED NORTHWEST
                   FROM HIXSON PIKE, SOUTHWEST OF AUSTIN ROAD,
                   WHICH IS MORE PARTICULARY DESCRIBED BELOW TO
                   NORTHPOINT BOULEVARD.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the name of a portion of 
the
         right-of-way of Old Hixson Pike located northwest from Hixson
         Pike, southwest of Austin Road, be and is hereby changed to
         Northpoint Boulevard particularly described as follows:
             
              Part of Old Hixson Pike (to become Northpoint Boulevard)
              beginning on the northwest line of Hixson Pike 861.54
              feet southwest of the intersection of the northwest line
              of Hixson Pike with the southwest line of Austin Road,
              thence southwest 50 feet with Hixson Pike to the
              southwest line of Old Hixson Pike, thence with the
              southwest line of Old Hixson Pike northwest 80.4 feet,
              and northwest 45.12 feet to the northwest line of Old
              Hixson Pike, thence northeast 50 feet with the northwest
              line of Old Hixson Pike, thence southeast some 42.57
              feet to the intersection of the southeast line of Old
              Hixson Pike with the northeast line of Old Hixson Pike,
              thence southeast some 95 feet with the northeast line of
              Old Hixson Pike to the northwest line of Hixson Pike,
              the point of beginning. 
             
         	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
